The scope of the scheme includes all talukas of Konkan and Chandgad, Ajra, Bhudargad, Gadhinglaj and Radhanagari talukas of Kolhapur district. Farmer organizations here will be able to take advantage of this. Under this scheme, approval has been given to construct warehouses with a total capacity of one crore 25 thousand metric tons. The Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board will be able to construct warehouses with a capacity of 500, 1 thousand and 5 thousand metric tons. Accordingly, a process of interest tender is being implemented to select beneficiaries for construction of warehouses. The government will prepare a list of interested beneficiaries and give approval. After that, proposals for construction of warehouses will be invited from the eligible interested beneficiary organizations. Cashew processing cooperative societies, farmer producer companies, farmer groups, private cashew processing entrepreneurs, private entrepreneurs, various executive cooperative societies, taluka buying and selling associations and agricultural produce market committees will be able to take advantage of the scheme. This scheme will benefit maximum institutions in Chandgad, Ajra, Bhudargad, Gadhinglaj and Radhanagari talukas.
