    The Director General of the Cotton and Cashew Council, Dr Adama Coulibaly, is leading an Ivorian delegation from February 1 to 3, 2024 to the 10th edition of the World Cashew Conference (WCC), at SIEM REAP, Cambodia. This annual event for the global cashew industry is a forum for discussion on the commercial and technological issues of this cashew sector. The particular interest of this edition in Cambodia comes from the information received from certain experts and specialized journals on the impressive progress made by this country in terms of cashew production and processing and which positions it as a country that counts in the world. cashew. The first day was marked by a field visit to cashew tree plots while the solemn opening ceremony was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia. The communications and panels that will follow will allow, in particular, Dr Adama COULIBALY to present the vision and progress of Côte d'Ivoire in terms of cashew production, processing and marketing. The Director General of the Cotton and Cashew Council will also share with his peers from the cashew world, the vision of Côte d'Ivoire in terms of cooperation for the development of this booming sector. In addition to the Cotton and Cashew Council, the Ivorian delegation also includes representatives of FIRCA, the Interprofessional Cashew Organization, exporters, industrialists, researchers and technical and financial partners involved in the sector in Ivory Coast.
